Your Towne Parade Custom Home Honored During 2007 Parade of Homes

            Lancaster, PA. ( June 15, 2007) –  The Your Towne Builders Inc. entry into the 2007 Parade of Homes located at 678 Jake Landis Road in Manheim Township won several awards for its craftsmanship and detail including:

            The custom built home featuring over 3,000 square feet of living space showcased many trendsetting interior finishes, an open floor plan, closet organization systems, a beautiful maple kitchen and 2-story great room with custom window. Inside living spaces were professionally decorated and furnished by    INTER!ORS with exterior living space furnishes provided by PATIO at Penn Stone. Your Towne Builders' President Receives Roy D. Mallinson Award

            Lancaster, PA. ( February 19, 2007) –  Stephen J. Artz, president of Your Towne Builders, Inc., has been selected by the Manheim Township Department of Code Compliance as a recipient of the Roy D. Mallinson Award.  The award is presented in memory of Roy D. Mallinson, who passed away in 1998. Mallinson was the Township code official responsible for residential construction from 1988 through 1998. The award recognizes his contributions and dedication to the building code program, and those residential construction contractors who demonstrate professionalism in their approach to the permit process and by their work product, which contributes to making Manheim Township a safe community to live, work and play.  Artz will receive his award at a ceremony to be held in March.         

                Artz came to Lancaster County in the early 1980s as a student of then Stevens Trade School (now Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology) and graduated in 1984 with an Associate’s degree in architectural drafting and design. In 1991, he formed Your Towne Builders, Inc. Artz  has spent much of his time over the last 10 years promoting the building trades as a viable career option to Lancaster County students, using his success story as a springboard for discussions. He has remained close to the faculty and administration of Thaddeus Stevens, and in 2005 he chaired Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology’s Centennial Committee. Artz is also active with the Building Industry Association of Lancaster and the Pennsylvania Builders Association and has held many positions and chaired various committees. He currently serves on the state board of directors and chairs the local association's membership committee.  Artz resides in Mountville and has a daughter, Addison.
